Nashville OR Dallas - Construction Associate

*Moved from N/R to Recruiters LIVE   Winstead PC is seeking a 3-4 year attorney for a position with our Construction practice group in Nashville or Dallas. The role is a growth position with a clear path toward advancement in the firm. We are seeking an attorney with strong experience in complex construction projects in transaction contexts and some experience in construction litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: · Construction Transactions: Experience in construction transactions including, but not limited to, agreements involving design and construction and aspects of cost, schedule, scope definition and risk including insurance and bonding considerations. · Construction Disputes: Some experience in construction disputes and litigation including, but without limitation, disputes relating to design error, delay and impact claims, payment related litigation under Lien or Prompt Pay Acts, and enforcement of surety bond claims. Courtroom and deposition experience is preferred. · Construction background: A pre-law background or previous career in the construction industry is a plus but not required. · Strong academics: Candidates should have strong academic credentials. · Writing skills: Candidates should be proficient at complex legal drafting and client communication. · Collaboration Across Offices: If based in Dallas, the candidate will primarily work with attorneys in our Nashville office, which will require occasional travel.
