Responsibilities and practice Dentons US LLP is seeking an associate with excellent academic credentials to join our rapidly growing and innovative Global Venture Technology practice. The associate hired for this position will be part of a team that is passionate about investing in success. Responsibilities of the associate hired will include: Working to counsel venture capital firms and emerging companies in day-to-day affairs and acting as quarterback on overall legal needs Handling transactional work, including venture financings, exits and working capital arrangements Representing the interests of venture firms and other sources of capital in transactions Helping to build relationships with clients and the broader ecosystem This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit group of lawyers with global reach who are passionate about building a brand in the marketplace. The Global Venture Technology group is a unique boutique on the platform of a large, global law firm. Dentons offers a competitive salary and benefits package and excellent professional and business development opportunities. Pursuant to New York law, the salary range for this position in New York City is $260,000 - $365,000, based on experience. Based on years of experience, Dentons US LLP associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate.
