Responsibilities and practice The Naples, Florida office of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby P.C. is seeking an associate with 3-7 years of civil litigation experience in the areas of business, commercial and/or construction litigation to join our highly regarded Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. The successful candidate will have outstanding academic credentials and experience in sophisticated, high-stakes litigation. We are looking for someone who is nimble and efficient, with the ability to contribute at a high level both as part of a larger team and by managing cases on their own from start to finish. Expected responsibilities include: Manage cases from inception to conclusion Conduct factual investigations and research, interact with clients Draft research memos, motions, briefs, pleadings and discovery Research relevant case law, statutes and regulations Prepare for and conduct depositions, argue motions Conduct and manage all aspect of discovery, including e-discovery Prepare for, assist in and conduct hearings and trials Assist in business development and marketing opportunities This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team that is passionate about what they do and gain meaningful experience while enjoying the benefits and resources of a global law firm. Dentons’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution lawyers are strategic business advisors who provide counsel on complex commercial litigation needs, including trade secret and unfair competition claims, construction litigation, environmental and land use disputes, trust and estate litigation, and shareholder and partnership disputes.
