Our Finance team is responsible for ensuring accurate financial operations and plays a crucial role in managing the Firm’s financial health. Our team handles a wide range of financial activities including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, partner compensation, payroll, treasury and cash flow management to support the Firm’s strategic goals. We are responsible for inventory management including billing and collections, and analysis of client, matter and timekeeper profitability. We oversee statutory accounting and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. The Finance team also prepares financial statements, reports and analysis to provide insights into the Firm’s financial performance. We work closely with other functions to monitor expenses, optimize financial processes and implement cost-saving initiatives. Through meticulous financial management and strategic planning, the Finance team ensures the Firm’s financial stability and supports its growth objectives. Position Summary The Manager, Tax, plays a critical leadership role within the Firm’s Tax Team, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance in a rapidly evolving tax landscape. This position is responsible for managing complex tax projects, ensuring compliance with US and international partnership tax regimes, and supporting the Firm’s strategic objectives. The Manager will serve as a key contact for Firm leadership and partners, providing support on tax issues and regulatory changes. In addition, this role will mentor and develop team members, helping to build the Tax Team’s capacity and expertise to meet current and future challenges. The ideal candidate will bring US partnership tax experience, strong project management skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving, positioning the Tax Team for continued success and leadership in the industry. Duties and Accountabilities Oversee the preparation, maintenance, and review of transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance with US and foreign tax regulations. Monitor and interpret changes in transfer pricing laws and guidance across relevant jurisdictions. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to implement and document appropriate transfer pricing policies and methodologies. Manage compliance with foreign tax regimes, including the preparation and submission of required filings and reports. Manage complex projects related to transfer pricing and foreign tax, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external advisors to deliver project outcomes. Prioritize and allocate resources to meet project deadlines and compliance requirements. Track project progress and report updates to senior management. Mentor and train junior team members, fostering technical growth and professional development. Share knowledge and best practices related to transfer pricing and foreign tax compliance.
