Job Summary & Objectives A Platform Engineering Senior Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers who manage and maintain an organization's endpoint devices (servers, laptops, desktops, and mobile phones), overseeing the implementation and upkeep of endpoint security measures, device management systems, and ensuring optimal performance end user experience while also providing technical guidance and mentoring to their team members. The Global Platform organization is responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing endpoint management solutions, implementing security policies, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. Provide technical guidance, coaching and support for team members’ driving performance while overcoming technical hurdles. Be an advocate for Global Platform Engineering. Promote the data and offerings available from the team that could improve process and decision making across all IT towers. Platform Engineering\Endpoint Management: As a subject matter expert, design, implement, and maintain platform and endpoint management solutions. Design and implement strategies for managing endpoint (client and server) devices using tools like Tanium, Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or JAMF, including hardware and software deployment, configuration, and patching. Monitor endpoint health and performance metrics, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively. Ensure compliance with security policies by enforcing endpoint security standards and best practices. Develop and deploy configuration profiles, scripts, and policies to manage endpoint settings, applications, and security. Perform operating system deployments, migrations, and upgrades where necessary. Security & Threat Management: Implement endpoint security solutions to protect against malware, ransomware, and other cyber threats. Analyze security incidents related to endpoints, coordinating with security teams to investigate and remediate threats. Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies to maintain a robust endpoint security posture. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with parallel IT teams (network, security, Service Desk) to ensure smooth integration and incident resolution. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their platform or endpoint requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs. Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Education Required 12+ years IT experience in platform engineering, endpoint management or similar and/or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
