: We are seeking a dedicated Litigation Labor & Employment Attorney to join our team. Our labor and employment team provides counsel to hundreds of public- school districts and other public agencies throughout California. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who thrives on meaningful work, values collaboration, and wants to make a lasting impact on communities throughout California. We are looking for individuals with 5 to 7 years of experience in labor & employment with a passion for public entity representation. Administrative hearing experience a plus. Duties & Responsibilities: •Handle all stages of litigation, from case assessment and discovery to law and motion practice, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. •Represent public agency clients in state and federal courts across a wide range of litigation matters. •Manage a diverse caseload independently while collaborating with other experienced attorneys. •Participate in strategic planning, risk management, and client communication Qualifications: •Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. •Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing. •Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. •Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. •Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. •Passion for advocating for educational institutions and public agencies. Salary - $140,000 - $225,000/year Lozano Smith is committed to giving all employees the opportunity to experience meaningful, impactful work.
