Miller Nash is seeking a motivated construction and construction litigation associate with three to five years of experience to join our Construction and Insurance Recovery Department in Portland. In this role, you will work closely with a collaborative team handling complex construction matters. Our ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across many stages of construction contracting and construction litigation — from contract negotiation and dispute analysis to motion practice and trial. Experience or a practical working knowledge of insurance law in the construction context—including coverage evaluation, tenders, and the legal contours of the relationship between policyholders and their insurers—is highly valued. We are looking for a team member who is hard-working and responsive, exercises good judgment, has strong communication and writing skills, analytical ability, demonstrates excellent research and analytical ability, and is self-directed yet able to work in a team environment. The successful candidate will also be ready and able to hit the ground running on pending cases and in responding to immediate client needs.
