Objective of the position The Quality Engineer leads quality assurance efforts across multiple customers and production lines. This role involves acting as the primary customer quality contact, overseeing product conformity, leading customer audits, and resolving customer claims and production line issues. The Quality Engineer is responsible for making decisions on stopping and restarting production, as well as overseeing the work of Quality Inspectors. Additionally, the role supports new product launches, ensures product compliance, and drives continuous improvement through audits, data analysis, and corrective actions. Characterization of activities Serve as Customer Quality Partner: Act as the main quality contact, lead review meetings, and ensure timely responses to customer concerns and claims. Ensure Product Quality: Maintain conformance on production lines by collaborating with teams to meet specifications and standards. Resolve Issues & Claims: Manage customer claims, quarantined goods, and coordinate corrective actions across functions. Perform Audits & Compliance Checks: Conduct product audits, address nonconformities, and ensure corrective actions are completed. Lead Customer Audits: Prepare, coordinate, and host audits to ensure compliance with customer requirements and documentation. Drive Continuous Improvement: Support product launches, lead PPAP and 8D processes, analyze quality data, and guide quality inspectors. Location Requirement: Must reside in the Netherlands with a valid work permit. Education, Experience And Knowledge Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering and Six Sigma certification (min Green Belt level) Problem-Solving Expertise: Proven experience with 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys, and other root cause analysis tools. Automotive Core Tools Knowledge: Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA, including completion of Measurement System Analysis. Quality Standards: Understanding of IATF 16949:2016, preferably with internal auditor experience. Skills & Attributes: Self-motivated, team-oriented, confident in tackling problems, excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken). PAWW: Compulsory supplementary insurance when the statutory unemployment WW or WGA benefit expires. Holiday days: 27 days on an annual basis (full-time).
