Our San Diego office is currently seeking a dedicated Labor & Employment Attorney to join our Labor and Employment and Investigations team. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who thrives on meaningful work, values collaboration, and wants to make a lasting impact on communities throughout California. This position will primarily focus on investigations related to employment law, including employee dismissals and public agency defense. Representative employment- related investigations may include, for example, matters related to unlawful discrimination, employee misconduct, retaliation, sexual harassment, and Title IX. We are looking for individuals with up to 3 years of experience in labor & employment with a passion for public entity representation. Duties & Responsibilities •Advise public agency clients on personnel matters including hiring, discipline, and termination. •Handle matters related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employee leave laws. •Represent clients in administrative hearings, grievance arbitrations, and collective bargaining negotiations. •Assist clients with labor compliance, policy development, and internal investigations. Qualifications •Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. •Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing. •Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. •Strong interest working with public agencies or school districts. •Knowledge of California labor and employment laws.
