Associate Contested Matters We are seeking junior to mid-level associates with 2-6 years of patent litigation experience to join the Litigation group of Contested Matters department. This position can be based in our Boston or Washington, DC office. Responsibilities include: Preparation and trial of patent litigation matters Case strategy and management, including handling all aspects of discovery Work with witnesses, including experts and fact witnesses Analysis of products and patents (e.g. infringement and invalidity) Conduct and defend depositions and witness examinations Draft pleadings, motions, and court arguments Qualifications: A degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field of study is preferred, but not required A JD from an ABA-accredited law school Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts or Washington, DC 2-6 years of patent litigation experience in district courts and/or before the ITC Previous experience with handling patent infringement and validity analyses Previous experience with drafting and preparing motions and briefs concerning patent issues, handling/managing litigation discovery Some previous experience with preparing for, defending, or taking depositions, working with expert and fact witnesses is preferable Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail, collaborate and work effectively in team settings The expected salary range for this position is $225,000 - $360,000 annually.
