Senior Public Agency Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with six or more years of experience to join our Public Agency practice. This position offers the opportunity to handle complex litigation matters on behalf of public entities, appear regularly in court, and work directly with clients in a collaborative and well-established practice group. What You’ll Do Litigate matters on behalf of public agencies, including cities, special districts, and joint powers authorities Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation Draft and argue dispositive and procedural motions Appear in court and before administrative bodies Advise clients regarding litigation strategy, settlement, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution Collaborate closely with attorneys across practice groups while managing matters independently What We’re Looking For Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience Experience representing public agencies or litigating matters involving governmental entities strongly preferred Experience with land use and/or CEQA is a plus Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills A collaborative, team-oriented approach J.D. from an accredited law school Active California bar license in good standing What We Offer Salary range: $155,000–$260,000, depending on experience Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits A collegial, team-focused firm culture Opportunities for professional growth and leadership, including practice development if desired A reasonable hours target with meaningful bonus opportunities Flexible work arrangements, including remote work The opportunity to join a well-established and respected Sacramento-based firm
