<p><strong>Health Law Counsel | Regulatory &amp; Transactional Practice</strong></p> <p>Koley Jessen seeks an experienced Health Law attorney to join its expanding Health Law Practice Group. We invest in one another's success, fostering both individual growth and collective achievement in service of our clients.</p> <p><strong>About the Practice</strong></p> <p>The Health Law Practice Group represents a diverse range of healthcare providers, including individual physicians, physician group practices, ambulatory surgery centers, specialty hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. The practice also represents individual providers in professional discipline matters before state licensing boards. This role does not involve personal injury litigation or medical malpractice defense.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Advise physicians, physician groups, ASCs, specialty hospitals, and other healthcare providers on regulatory compliance, including Stark Law (Physician Self-Referral Law), the Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act matters</li> <li>Structure, draft, and negotiate physician employment agreements, professional services agreements, medical director agreements, and joint venture arrangements with attention to healthcare regulatory requirements</li> <li>Counsel clients on Medicare reimbursement rules and regulations, including conditions of participation, billing compliance, and payor contracting considerations</li> <li>Advise on HIPAA compliance, healthcare privacy and data security requirements, breach response protocols, and related state privacy laws</li> <li>Analyze and advise on corporate governance, organizational structure, and operational compliance for healthcare entities</li> <li>Represent individual healthcare providers in professional discipline matters before the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and other state licensing boards, including matters involving:</li> <ul> <li>Professional licensure investigations and proceedings</li> <li>Medical staff credentialing and privileging disputes</li> <li>Peer review and fair hearing proceedings</li> <li>Hospital and health system employment matters</li> <li>Graduate medical education program disputes</li> </ul> <li>Conduct due diligence and provide regulatory analysis for healthcare transactions, including acqui
