ALL POSITIONS Legal Assistant - Litigation - Burlingame, CA Legal Assistants Burlingame, CA APPLY NOW Harrison LLP, a national private wealth planning law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and organized Litigation Legal Assistant to join its Burlingame, CA office. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced legal environment and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.   What You Will Do: The Litigation Legal Assistant’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions. Prepare and file court documents, including e-filings and subpoenas. Manage and maintain case files, document databases, and cloud-based systems. Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, trials, and team meetings. Support client intake, initial meeting setup, engagement letters, and conflict checks. Handle correspondence, process mail, and prepare light communications. Assist with trial preparation, including binder creation, exhibit organization, and reviewing tentative rulings and minute orders. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Open and close case files; assist with document gathering and service. Support billing and expense reimbursement processes. Save and organize emails and documents in firm systems. Conduct basic legal research and document review. Perform other administrative and legal support tasks as assigned. What You Will Need: 1+ years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm. High school diploma or General Educational Development credential (GED). Ability to initially work in the office five days/week. Once fully trained, ability to work 4 days/week in the office (and can work 1 day remotely). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software platforms (e.g., Salesforce, document management systems). What Would Be Nice To Have: Bachelor’s Degree. Litigation Experience: Prior experience supporting attorneys in litigation matters, including trial preparation, e-filing, and managing discovery. Trusts & Estates Exposure: Familiarity with Trusts and Estates cases, including document preparation and client coordination. Exceptional Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain meticulous records, and support complex case workflows. Professional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, counsel, and court personnel. Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail. Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 annually. This role will also be eligible for an annual discretionary variable incentive bonus.
