Junior Professional Officer Programme
The Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Programme allows young professionals to gain practical experience in multi-lateral technical co-operation at an early stage in their career. WHO welcomes JPOs in both health technical and administrative areas of work and in country offices, regional offices and headquarters. Becoming a JPO at WHO means that you will join a dedicated and committed workforce that contributes to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable to reach our triple billion target.
As a JPO, you will enter an exciting career journey in WHO in which we fully support your growth and development.
The WHO JPO Programme is sponsored by donor governments with some governments accepting applications from developing country nationals.
To be eligible, you will need to be a national of a donor country (except for developing country candidates), under 32 years old, hold an advanced university degree and have a minimum of two years relevant experience.
Information about the application procedure and other aspects of the JPO Programme can be found on the UNDP JPO Service Centre website.
