Position Overview: The Fort Lauderdale office of Conrad & Scherer is seeking a partner-level attorney with a portable book of business ($1M+ minimum) to join our Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice. This is a unique opportunity for a highly accomplished litigator to contribute to a prestigious, fast-paced firm handling sophisticated, high-stakes matters. As a partner, you will have the autonomy to build and expand your practice while collaborating with a dynamic team on some of the firm’s most prominent cases. Key Responsibilities Oversee all phases of complex commercial litigation, from initial case assessment through resolution, including motion practice, depositions, discovery, court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. Represent clients in state and federal courts in cases involving financial fraud, securities, breach of contract, fiduciary duty claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, loan and construction litigation, and UCC matters. Leverage your portable book of business to drive growth and contribute to the firm’s continued expansion. Collaborate with senior associates and the Marketing Department to convert high-volume inbound business development leads. Develop and implement creative case strategies in partnership with a team of skilled legal professionals. Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and persuasive advocacy. Stay abreast of evolving laws, regulations, and precedents in commercial litigation to ensure optimal case outcomes. Job Requirements Experience: Minimum of 15 years of complex commercial litigation experience in both state and federal courts, with a proven record of success in cases involving financial fraud, securities, breach of contract, fiduciary duty claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, loan and construction litigation, and UCC matters. Portable Book of Business: A minimum of $1M in portable business is required. Litigation Expertise: Full command of all litigation phases, including drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, managing discovery, appearing in court, and handling mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. Bar Admission: Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar. Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; superior legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while working independently and collaboratively.
