Senior Attorney - San Diego, CA Senior Litigation Counsel/Partner level position in the San Diego area. Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight is an award-winning national law firm with offices in La Jolla, New York, Washington, D.C., Nashville, and Palo Alto. The firm is seeking an experienced litigator to join its burgeoning, 13 person ERISA and Financial Services Litigation practice to litigate high level, multi-million class cases against some of the largest companies in America. You will be expected to: Have strong communication skills Conduct legal research and support development of case strategy Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, mediation statements, and trial briefs Supervise associate-level lawyers in doing the same Participate in mediations Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials Manage deadlines, filings, and input billing ethically and efficiently Collaborate with lawyers across our offices and work to achieve success Maintain a social media presence Compensation and Benefits: Salary: We offer a competitive lock-step salary ranging from $135,000 – $180,000 annually based on years out of law school, plus discretionary bonuses Health, dental, and vision insurance (affordable plans with firm contribution) Vacation, sick leave & paid holidays 401(k) with employer contribution Bar dues, MCLE, and professional development budget Paid parking This role is primarily in-office (La Jolla) with some hybrid flexibility. A minimum 3 years of litigation experience in the federal courts is required. Having experience in managing ERISA class action cases and a litigation team is preferred. Having experience with financial products and services are valued.
