Senior Surety Manager Department: Forensic Accounting Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Cherry Hill, NJ Reporting To: Peter Fascia Compensation: $145,000 - $175,000 / year Description MDD, a Davies Company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Surety Manager to lead complex surety-related forensic accounting engagements within our Construction & Surety practice. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to surety carriers, legal counsel, claims professionals, and contractors by delivering financial analysis, investigative accounting, economic damage quantification, and project fund analysis related to bonded construction projects and disputes.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of forensic accounting expertise, construction industry knowledge, client management capability, and leadership experience. This individual will manage large and complex engagements, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development efforts within the surety and construction market.
MDD specializes in forensic accounting, economic damage quantification, litigation support, and surety bond services globally. Key Responsibilities
Lead forensic accounting and surety engagements involving:
Contractor defaults
Bonded construction projects
Delay and disruption claims
Funds flow analysis
Cost-to-complete evaluations
Claims quantification
Financial investigations
Recovery analysis
Analyze:
Financial statements
Job cost reports
Work-in-progress schedules
Cash flow records
Construction contracts and supporting documentation
Support surety carriers and legal counsel through all phases of claims and litigation matters.
Manage multiple concurrent engagements while maintaining quality, timeliness, and profitability.
Prepare clear, concise, and defensible written reports and client presentations.
Conduct interviews with principals, contractors, subcontractors, project stakeholders, and claimants.
Mentor and develop Associates, Senior Associates, and Managers within the practice.
Participate in client meetings, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation support activities.
Assist in business development activities, including:
Building client relationships
Expanding surety market presence
Supporting proposals and presentations
Identifying cross-selling opportunities
Coordinate with Partners and senior leadership on practice growth initiatives.
