About the Firm Rosette, LLP is an Indian-owned law firm with a national reputation for representing tribal governments and tribal businesses and offices in Arizona, California, and Oklahoma. The Firm’s goal is to maximize sovereignty and ensure the self-sufficiency and self-determination of all Indian tribes. Rosette specializes in federal law and its application to tribes, tribal businesses, complex litigation, government negotiations, financial transactions, tribal housing, land use and planning, human resource management, tribal energy development, and representation related to internal tribal governance matters. III. Basic Functions Responsible for providing all legal services as assigned by the partners, lead attorneys, and clients. IV. Responsibilities Travel to off-site meetings with prospective and current clients Apply knowledge of business issues, legal procedures, cases, statutes, and applicable regulatory authority to effectively counsel clients Conduct legal research by preparing legal memoranda, necessary pleadings, and documents required in all aspects of state, federal, and tribal litigation matters on an as needed basis. Appear at hearings and trials as needed and/or assigned. Draft tribal codes, regulations, agreements, analyze and review legal documents as needed. V. Skills Knowledge of Federal Indian law and its key statutes (i.e. Indian Child Welfare Act, Indian Reorganization Act, etc.) Oral Communication Skills Written Communication Skills Technical Communication Interpersonal Relations Diplomacy Organizational Professionalism Project Management Presentation Time Management Computer Literacy VI. Other Requirements 1-5 Years Litigation or Transactional Experience Required Comply with all court and state bar licensure obligations, including continuing legal education requirements Driver’s License VII.
