Trusts & Estates Administration & Litigation Associate

SCMV seeks to add an associate attorney with 2-6 years of trust and estate administration and litigation experience. As an associate attorney, your responsibilities will include: Managing trust and estate administration and litigation matters from intake through trial Drafting court petitions, motions, and discovery Preparing case evaluations and litigation strategies Arguing motions, attending mediations, and negotiating settlements Advising clients, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trials Matters often include will and trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, accounting disputes, fiduciary misconduct, Probate Code § 850 and § 17200 petitions, and financial elder abuse. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the State Bar of California. 2-6 years of experience in trust and estate administration and litigation. Trial experience is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Salary range is $140,000-$215,000, plus additional incentive compensation and excellent benefits. Actual salary will depend upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, job-related skills, and qualifications.
