This role can be based in San Francisco, New York, Denver, San Diego, Los Angeles or Washington D.C. https://www.mofo.com/offices ABOUT THE ROLE The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for delivering value and leading innovation for the firm through a broad set of sourcing and procurement activities. This position is responsible for collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand needs and strategic objectives for the various departments to develop a strategic roadmap for sourcing opportunities to drive value and mitigate risks. The Strategic Sourcing Manager works cross-functionally with the various departments and offices throughout the firm to evaluate requirements of goods and services, manage implementation of new supplier programs, communicate contract terms and facilitate hand-off of contract management to the business unit to establish new supplier relationships in an efficient manner. Sourcing & Procurement Apply best practices in strategic sourcing, procurement and business negotiations, ensuring alignment with Firm strategic objectives. Perform spend analysis and develop a sourcing roadmap focused on cost savings, supplier management and process improvement. Working closely with stakeholders, develop requirements and project scopes and implement best in class sourcing activities to procure high-quality products and services from suppliers that adhere to the firm’s standards. Understand our business, supply base and firm objectives to bring value and drive business results through innovation. Analyze the market, screen potential suppliers, and facilitate formal Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and development business cases and recommendations for vendor selection to ensure appropriate and cost-effective vendor relationships are established for the Firm. Identify and leverage opportunities and negotiate contracts to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership across the Firm’s spend. Deliver cost savings to the Firm. Develop and implement supplier relationship management (SRM) practices including, but not limited to, vendor evaluations and quarterly business reviews. Build strong, productive relationships with key business stakeholders and relevant internal teams, including but not limited to Contracts, InfoSec, IT, Finance and Privacy. Use expertise and relationships to influence key stakeholders. Category Management Lead strategic thinking and supplier management in key areas of Firm spend. Accountable for leading the development and execution of multi-year category strategies. Build and communicate category intelligence throughout the company.
