Search Firm Guidelines

The following guidelines have been established to ensure a consistent and efficient working relationship between Allen Matkins and the legal search firms who contact our Recruiting Department. It is our policy that all contacts regarding attorneys are to be directed to the Recruiting Department at joinus@allenmatkins.com . For a placement fee to be paid or a priority recognized, applicant materials must be submitted through the online application link or by email as described below, and the candidate must be identified by name. ASSOCIATE CANDIDATES Search firms may only submit candidates for positions that are posted on the Current Openings section of our website. Applications should be submitted through the online application link. We require a current resume and law school transcript in order to consider an application. In addition, the Search Firm section of the form must be completed and a current signed fee agreement must be on file with the firm. If you have a strong candidate whose experience and interests do not match an available position, please send a brief email summarizing the candidate's credentials for consideration to joinus@allenmatkins.com . PARTNER CANDIDATES Allen Matkins works with select search firms on lateral partner recruiting. If you have a candidate who you believe would be a good fit for the firm, please contact Christine McWilliams at cmcwilliams@allenmatkins.com . SEARCH FIRM AGREEMENTS As of March 2018, all Allen Matkins search firm agreements have been updated. If your search firm has an agreement that predates March 2018, it is now null and void. Please contact us to set up a new agreement. In the event a search firm submits a resume without a fee agreement in place, the candidate submitted will be considered unsolicited and treated as if the candidate submitted their resume directly to Allen Matkins, and no fee will be paid.
