Schwabe has an opening for a full-time Real Estate attorney in one of our physical offices to work in a thriving, diverse real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree from an ABA-accredited law school 7+ years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, including: Leasing Purchase & sale agreements Real estate due diligence, including title review Leasing Real estate finance transactions Development-related contracts Strong interest in engaging in real estate and construction, natural resources, and/or ports industry groups and business development Excellent academic credentials and professional references, as well as solid legal research, writing, and communication skills Demonstrated ownership of projects and willingness to work hard in a team-oriented setting, but with significant independence A track record showing exemplary client service, organizational skills, and teamwork Excellent skills in legal research, analysis, writing, and in communication Local State Bar admission or eligibility for reciprocity is required Some portable book of business plus demonstrated success in developing a client portfolio Candidates should submit PDFs of their cover letter, resume, law school transcripts, and a writing sample directed to Michelle Baird-Johnson, Schwabe’s Senior Director of Talent Acquisition & Integration. Inquiries are maintained in confidence. The base pay for this position starts at $200,000, depending on job skills and legal practice experience relevant to the position. Higher base compensation may be available for candidates with a portable book of business. The position is also eligible for productivity and discretionary merit bonus consideration at the end of each calendar year.
