LiDAR Technician I

Purpose Supports LiDAR data processing and production workflows under direct supervision. Performs foundational geospatial tasks while developing proficiency in LiDAR processing software, data management, and QA/QC procedures. Responsibilities Leadership and Direction Receives guidance and direction from senior technicians and project leads. Participates in training and professional development activities. Demonstrates willingness to learn new workflows and technologies.   At the Operational and Company Level Supports project teams in meeting production schedules and deliverable requirements. Maintains organized project files and processing documentation. Follows established company standards and procedures.   Do the Work Process LiDAR datasets using MicroStation, TerraScan, TerraModeler, or similar software. Assist with point cloud classification and feature extraction. Perform routine QA/QC checks following established procedures. Utilize Global Mapper, Google Earth, and related geospatial tools for data review and validation. Assist with coordinate system management and geospatial data organization. Support preparation of mapping and engineering deliverables. Maintain processing logs and documentation.
