We are looking for a Client Intake & Assessment Attorney to join our fast-paced Business Real Estate team in our San Diego office. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience with a strong client service skillset. It is our mission to provide the highest quality, cost-effective legal services to our clients. Compensation: $125k-$175k/annually + Bonus Schedule: Position is full-time, exempt. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday. We currently offer a hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete the majority of their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor. Responsibilities: Providing excellent customer service in response to new case referrals received internally and externally Handling initial case calls and emails from new departmental clients and routing to appropriate attorneys for handling Assisting with new case set up to generate internal case numbers (Matter IDs), retainer agreements and conflict waivers (as needed) Gather new case information from referrals including the date of service of process, parties represented, insurance information, documentation and witness information Provide basic legal representation to clients, assessing the facts and issues of each scenario and counseling clients appropriately Represent the firm internally and externally Other duties as needed to support the legal, management and client service goals of the department Qualifications: We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: J.D. and an active California Bar license 5+ years of experience as a licensed California attorney Previous civil litigation experience Previous experience in landlord-tenant law Ability to communicate regularly with clients on a range of practice group topics Ability to multi-task and operate against inflexible deadlines both in a team environment and independently The following qualifications are preferred: Experience with ProLaw or other billing and document management program Why Work for Us?
