This California Job Applicant Privacy Notice (the "Notice";) for Duane Morris LLP ("Duane Morris";"we"; or "our";), describes how Duane Morris may collect, use and disclose Personal Information about job applicants ("Covered Individuals" or "you"). Personal Information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)), such as signature, physical characteristics or description, state identification number, education information, bank account number, and other financial information. Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law , such as age (40 years or older), race, sex/gender, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, physical or mental disability, military or veteran information, citizenship, or health condition. Professional or employment-related information : Talent management and recruitment information, such as your resume, education details and qualifications, professional certifications, prior work experience, historical compensation details, career interests, and other information provided in your job application; and Post-offer criminal background information, such as any criminal history, revealing felony, misdemeanor, sex offender, probation, and other federal, state and county criminal offense records. Education information , such as your education and training background and information that is not publicly available personally identifiable information as defined in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. Sec. 1232g; 34 C.F.R. Part 99). Internet and other electronic network activity information , such as information regarding your interaction with our websites (e.g., browsing history, search history and your usage information, including information such as account name, access times, and content viewed) and information about your use of our network, including your IP address and device identifiers, if you use our network while visiting Duane Morris' offices. Geolocation data , such as the approximate location of the device you are using to interact with us online. Sensory information , such as electronic, audio and visual information, including photographs for identification or security purposes, video and call recordings and security camera footage. Inferences drawn from any of the information above to create a profile about you reflecting your preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes. Sensitive Personal Information We collect certain Personal Information that may be considered "Sensitive Personal Information" under the CCPA, such as driver's license, state identification card, passport, or other government issued identification card, social security numbers, race or ethnic origin, and health information. We do not use or disclose (and have not used or disclosed in the past twelve (12) months) Sensitive Personal Information for any purposes other than the purposes permitted under the CCPA. We use and disclose Sensitive Personal Information only as necessary and for the following purposes: (i) to process your application for employment, (ii) to comply with the law, and (iii) for business purposes reasonably expected within the scope of your relationship with us, including, without limitation, to comply with applicable rules of professional conduct, regulations and other obligations and practices in connection with Duane Morris' provision of services to clients. Duane Morris does not collect or use Sensitive Personal Information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. How and From Whom We Collect Your Personal Information We collect (and may have collected in the past twelve (12) months) the categories of Personal Information above from a variety of sources and methods. This includes: Information You Voluntarily Provide to Us We collect Personal Information from you that you voluntarily provide to us as an applicant. Information We Create in Connection with Your Relationship with Us We create certain Personal Information during the course of your relationship with us such as evaluations of your job application and interviews and documentation of our evaluations and interactions. Information We May Collect When You Use Our Network We may collect Personal Information about your use of our network if you use our network while visiting Duane Morris' offices. Information We Collect Automatically When You Use Our Website or Communicate with Us Automated technologies or interactions. If you are a job applicant applying for a position through one of our websites or other digital platforms, we collect and store certain Personal Information about you by automated means, using tracking technologies, such as cookies. Cookies are small data files that websites send to your computer or device to uniquely identify your browser or to store information or settings in your browser. We use tracking technologies on our websites to better understand how users use our websites. We or our service providers may receive certain device and usage information when you interact with our websites, such as your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data (information regarding your interactions with our websites, such as how long you use our websites, the pages or content you see or click during your visit, any search terms you may enter, etc.). We also may collect Personal Information from service providers that provide background check services or employee eligibility verification providers. Publicly Available Information .
