Job Title Coordinator, Business Development Location New York Regular/Temporary Regular Job Description Summary We have an opening for a Coordinator, Business Development, Litigation in our New York office. The Coordinator, Business Development supports and plays a key role in advancing Paul Hastings’ business development and marketing initiatives across the Litigation Department. The position also supports strategic marketing and profile-raising activities such as awards and directory submissions, pitches and RFPs, events and memberships, research and other marketing collateral that strengthen the firm’s position as a market leader in litigation. Job Description In this capacity, the Coordinator, Business Development will: Work with attorneys and business development team members to draft and produce high-quality pitches, proposals and RFP responses; Develop and maintain marketing materials, including practice descriptions, web content, attorney biographies and experience lists; Coordinate submissions for legal directories, awards and rankings relevant to the firm’s litigation practices; Manage sponsorships and partnerships, ensuring the firm maximizes benefits and return on investment; Collaborate with the events team and attorneys to plan and execute client events, seminars and webinars. Maintain key contact mailing lists; Assist with client targeting and collaborate with the competitive intelligence team to conduct research on clients, prospects and competitors to support meetings and cross-selling opportunities; Work with the marketing and communications teams on media relations, editorial projects, design and digital marketing initiatives; Build knowledge of Firm practice areas to effectively support marketing strategies; and Perform other duties as assigned. Proficiencies: Excellent verbal and communication skills, including attention to detail and proofreading; Solid understanding of the needs and expectations of law firm operations and litigation clients in order to function at a strategic level; Knowledge of marketing principles, procedures, concepts and practical applications; Knowledge of technologies, developments, trends and literature related to legal and professional services marketing fields; Proficiency in MS Office suite; Fundamental knowledge of networking and relationship management; Experience with CRM system (DealCloud) and matter-management system (Foundation) (preferred); Proficiency in team buildin
