Bankruptcy Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to play a crucial role in supporting attorneys and attorney trustees in all aspects of Chapter 11 bankruptcy practice. Essential Functions: The essential functions involved include, but are not limited to: Gather and organize relevant financial information and documentation from clients. Assist attorneys in preparing bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research on bankruptcy laws, procedures, and precedents. Prepare and draft bankruptcy pleadings, motions, and responses to motions and objections. Accompany attorneys to bankruptcy court proceedings for administrative support as needed. Coordinate with external parties, such as creditors, trustees, and court personnel. Assist with other related duties and ad hoc projects as requested. Requirements: 5+ years of prior experience as a bankruptcy paralegal or in a comparable legal support role. A paralegal certificate is preferred but not required. Strong technology and organizational skills; keen attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with bankruptcy software and case management systems (e.g., Best Case, Trustee software). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel. Knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
