We are seeking an Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Paralegal to join our Trial & Appellate (Litigation) Group. We need candidates who can respond quickly to shifting demands and thrive while working under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate would have some previous IP Litigation experience but we're willing to train folks with Litigation experience in other practice areas. Successful paralegals in our Trial & Appellate Group are able to deliver a high-quality work product and work independently with minimal supervision. This position is hybrid from the D.C. area with in-office presence as needed. We would expect travel to trial locations, depending on trial schedules. How will you make an impact? Creating, organizing, reviewing, and maintaining patent litigation case files including discovery. Maintaining and monitoring litigation docket and due dates; managing litigation calendars. Compiling, assisting, and preparing court filings including but not limited to, proofreading, cite-checking, motions, briefs, and memoranda; assembling exhibits, and appendices at the Federal Circuit, District and Appellate courts and the International Trade Commission (ITC). Maintaining a working knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) and Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure (FRAP). Maintaining proficiency with the mechanics of e-filing using CM/ECF, NextGen, and USITC EDIS filing systems. Performing factual and legal research in databases including LexisNexis, Westlaw, Docket Navigator, PACER, EDIS, and the USPTO. Conducting searches on production databases for relevant documents using IPRO, Relativity, and other document management software.
