Counseling Services Jump to a Section... Flagler College Counseling Services provides confidential psychological services to currently enrolled students. We strive to help students manage personal concerns that interfere with learning and academic progress. Counseling Services offers initial assessments, brief individual counseling, group therapy, workshops and educational presentations on a variety of topics, crisis intervention services, and professional consultations to staff, faculty, students, and parents. We offer services in an atmosphere that is welcoming and comfortable for all students regardless of race, gender, ethnic background, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or physical status. Reasons To Seek Therapy Reasons To Seek Therapy Are you thinking about talking to someone about a challenge you are facing? If so, you're not alone. There are many reasons students should seek professional counseling. They can include: Academic Difficulties Attention Problems Adjustment to college or homesickness Alcohol/Drug/Substance Abuse Anger Anxiety Depression Eating or Body Image concerns Family Concerns Grief/Loss Gender Identity Mood Swings Obsessive Thoughts and/or Compulsive Behaviors Relationship Problems Roommate Problems Self Esteem Self-Injurious Behaviors Sexual Orientation Sleep Problems Social Isolation Stress Management Suicidal or Homicidal Thoughts Trauma Time Management Problems Visit the Counseling Center Visit The Counseling Center is located on Flagler College campus, at 65 Valencia Street (click for map) . Resources Resources The Health & Wellness Canvas Course provides students, faculty, and staff with resources such as videos, handouts, worksheets, etc. The course offers information on an array of topics. It is designed to promote the prevention of challenging issues. It is also meant to help individuals address critical topics that they may experience while going to college. To enroll in the course, you will need to log in with your Flagler credentials and select “Enroll.” Please visit this site often, as we will upload content to it throughout the year.
