We are currently seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate (at least 3–5 years of experience) who is motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to take an active leadership role within our Litigation Practice Group. Responsibilities This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of litigation matters, work directly with clients, and gain meaningful courtroom experience while collaborating closely with partners. Case Management & Strategy • Managing litigation matters and developing case strategies from early stages through resolution • Leading depositions, conducting hearings, and managing document production and discovery • Coordinating litigation strategy with partners and ensuring efficient case progression Court Appearances & Litigation Practice • Taking and defending depositions and preparing clients and witnesses • Appearing in court for conferences, motions, oral arguments, and trial proceedings • Assisting with and participating in trial preparation and trial work when matters proceed to trial Client & Team Interaction • Serving as a primary point of contact for clients on active matters • Working closely with partners on case strategy and litigation planning • Providing day-to-day supervision and mentorship to junior associates and litigation staff Drafting & Legal Analysis • Preparing complex pleadings, motions, briefs, and client correspondence • Analyzing legal issues and developing persuasive litigation arguments Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school 3–5 years of litigation experience Experience handling depositions and appearing in court Strong legal writing and analytical skills Proficiency with Westlaw or similar legal research platforms Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating in a team environment Preferred experience: Medical malpractice litigation Civil litigation experience Criminal litigation experience Why Join Gross McGinley?
