We provide hybrid/work from home options, although candidates must reside in the general vicinity of LBBK’s San Diego, Los Angeles, or San Francisco, California offices. Position Description: We are seeking law and motion, writs and appeals litigation associates with all levels of experience. Associates will draft substantive motions and appellate briefs, including motions for summary judgement. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting with litigation tasks related to research, writing, law and motion. Responsibilities: Staying abreast of changes in laws and precedents to ensure the accuracy and relevance of legal arguments Conducting thorough legal research and analysis of statutes, regulations, and case law to develop persuasive legal arguments Drafting, filing, and arguing legal briefs and memoranda, in state and federal courts Preparing and responding to pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs Attending court hearings or other legal proceedings and working with senior attorneys to provide legal advice Regularly communicating with partners, associates, paralegals, clients, and opposing counsel 1850 billable hours Skills & Requirements: Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school Current California bar admission, in good standing 2+ years of experience, employment law background strongly preferred Excellent writer with attention to detail Effective oral communication
