This position could be located at the Firm's global operations center in Tampa or in the Dallas office. General Description: We are seeking a Client Accounts Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and success of our firm. The right individual for this role will work with Holland & Knight’s Billing Attorneys, assistants, and internal teams as a liaison with clients, for the purpose of resolving client non-payment issues to improve collection realization. Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: Communicate and interact with attorneys, assistants, and clients. Respond to collection related requests quickly, effectively, and accurately. Work with peers and management on collection related requests. Manage assigned attorneys’ inventory, specifically monitoring and resolving aged invoices, credit balances, and aged unbilled work. Handle all aspects of attorney and client outreach (via e-mail, phone, and/or mail) to resolve non-payment issues. Communicate and report to leadership on delinquent collections and at risk inventory. Partner with the Billing team to resolve auditing issues, reconciliation issues, and escalate concerns as needed. Assist with the training of new team members, as needed. Expected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law. Special projects and duties as assigned. Required Skills: Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite, or Microsoft 365. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients and internal stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to use good judgment. Excellent computer skills. Proficient knowledge of accounting functions. Required Qualifications & Education: 2-5 years of work in a professional environment. Knowledge of collection strategies and financial reconciliation processes. Preferred Qualifications & Education: 1-2 years of work as a Client Accounts Representative. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business discipline. Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (vlookup, xlookup, pivot tables). Knowledge of legal eBilling Platforms (i.e. BillBlast, etc.) Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
