TES Dining Technician

Overview Student Affairs - Property Management at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a TES Dining Technicain !  If you take pride in keeping spaces clean and well-maintained, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact every day!   Under direct supervision, the TES Dining Technician assists Dining Equipment Specialists, HVACR personnel, and other skilled trades employees with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and relocation of commercial kitchen equipment and associated building systems within University dining facilities. Performs routine and basic maintenance tasks while developing knowledge of food-service equipment, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility systems.   This is a pooled posting. This posting will remain open for an extended period of time and candidates will be contacted as staffing needs arise. Responsibilities Assists with scheduled preventive maintenance and routine inspections of commercial cooking, food-preparation, warewashing, refrigeration, and ice-making equipment. Assists higher-level technicians with troubleshooting and repair of ovens, steamers, fryers, griddles, mixers, slicers, grinders, dish machines,disposals, coolers, freezers, ice machines, and similar equipment. Performs routine assigned maintenance such as cleaning coils, replacing filters and belts, lubricating components, checking fasteners, and cleaning accessible equipment parts.
