Medical Negligence Associate Attorney

Prolific in both its trial results and in its appellate work, Pretzel & Stouffer is looking to add a new associate to its collaborative team. Pretzel & Stouffer is currently seeking a litigation associate for its professional liability/medical negligence group. Once hired, the candidate will be working in a hybrid office/remote setting to defend high-exposure matters during all phases of litigation to represent and defend hospitals, health systems, long-term care facilities, and individual healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include developing expert witness and trial strategy, conducting and defending depositions, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, and representing clients during courtroom appearances and arguments. Qualifications: 2 to 6 years’ practice in civil litigation with experience in conducting and defending depositions preferred. Excellent research skills, writing skills, and verbal communication required. Illinois license is mandatory. Indiana license is a benefit.
