Wright, Constable & Skeen, L.L.P., an AV-rated firm with multiple offices in Maryland and Virginia, is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of substantive litigation experience, with a strong background in general commercial litigation, construction litigation, and surety law. Key Responsibilities Represent clients in construction, surety, and commercial disputes from initial investigation through trial and appeal. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda. Conduct and defend depositions, manage written discovery, and handle court appearances. Provide strategic counsel to clients and participate in settlement negotiations and mediations. Work both independently and collaboratively with senior attorneys and partners. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active membership in the Maryland Bar (DC or VA admission a plus). 5–10 years of relevant litigation experience, including substantial courtroom and deposition experience. Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience representing contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, or sureties is strongly preferred. Salary & Benefits Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, range from $110,000-150,000. Potential for objective and subjective bonus compensation.
