*** Non Recruiters Job ***   Bulkley Richardson is seeking a paralegal to support its Real Estate and Litigation Departments in the Springfield office. The ideal candidate is a motivated, proactive legal professional with a solid understanding of real estate and litigation processes, and a meticulous approach to documentation and deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Collaborating with attorneys on a daily basis Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial real estate transactions from title commitment to title clearing, settlement statements, scheduling and closing package preparation Maintain files, prepare and export 1099 tax filings, pursue outstanding recording documents Prepare all figures and complete closing packages Check writing and reconciliation Submit accurate and complete post-closing packages Assisting in preparing legal documents including discovery, motions, affidavits, complaints and legal memoranda Assisting in review of electronic and hardcopy documents including redaction Assisting in obtaining, monitoring and managing discovery Preparing and organizing trial exhibits, trial binders, and exhibit lists Assisting with hearings, trial, mediation, settlement, and arbitration Maintaining and managing document databases for electronic documents Entering time daily, to meet firm’s minimum requirement Qualifications: Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting attorneys whose practices focus on commercial real estate transactions and litigation preferred Bachelor’s Degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred Must have a strong work ethic, team orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines effectively Ability to communicate in a professional, tactful and confident manner with attorneys, staff, clients, banks and realtors regarding commitments, deadlines, requests, etc. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and research tools such as Westlaw and Practical Law Experience with Qualia software preferred Ability to deliver a high standard of client service in a fast-paced environment Schedule and Compensation: In office, Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Overtime is required at times for this non-exempt position. Hourly rate range is $24-$34 per hour, commensurate with experience. The firm offers competitive benefits options.
