We are actively looking for labor and employment attorneys for temporary long-term engagements with several of our clients. Responsibilities/qualifications: Provide legal advice on full gamut of employment law matters, including hiring and termination, wage and hour rules, disability accommodation, family and medical leave, harassment and discrimination, employee privacy, performance management, contingent worker rules, restrictive covenants, and employee investigations Create, update, and implement employment handbooks and other workforce-related policies Assess and handle pre-litigation employment claims, administrative proceedings, and litigation in consult with outside litigation counsel Strong command of Federal and state (especially California, New York, and/or Washington) labor and employment law Ability to think strategically and creatively while providing practical counsel to HR and business
